KS3 Track · Years 7–9

Meet AI, make things, understand the world

Six guided, hands-on sessions that build real intuition about AI — playful, age-appropriate, and grounded in what students actually use.

  1. 1

    Meet AI

Interview a chatbot, try to trick it, spot AI in daily life — games, music, social feeds.

  2. 2

    Talking to AI properly

The 'prompt detective' game: compare badly vs well-worded requests and see the difference.

  3. 3

    AI as a homework helper

Use AI to explain tricky topics, then fact-check it against a textbook. It can be confidently wrong.

  4. 4

    Making something with AI

Generate artwork, illustrate a comic strip, or build a simple chatbot personality. Students' favourite session.

  5. 5

Is AI fair? Is it safe?Featured session

Spot bias in image generation. Discuss data privacy, what not to share, and why copying AI answers isn't learning.

  6. 6

    Show and tell

Students present their session 4 project to the group and parents, explaining what the AI did and what they did.

KS4/5 Track · Years 10–13

Applied AI skills for study, work and beyond

Six sessions that treat AI as a practical tool — for coursework, research, creative projects and career readiness, with critical thinking built in throughout.

  1. 1

    What AI is, and isn't

Compare a rule-based chatbot vs. a generative model on the same prompts. Build real intuition fast.

  2. 2

    Prompting as a skill

Iterate on a real task — summarise a topic, draft a personal statement — and see how specificity changes output.

  3. 3

    AI for research & study

Generate revision notes and practice questions from real coursework, then verify AI output for accuracy.

  4. 4

    Creative & applied project

    Choose a mini-project: a no-code app, an AI-generated presentation, a portfolio piece. Build it.

  5. 5

    Ethics, bias & limitationsFeatured session

Test for bias, discuss academic integrity, data privacy, and what AI means for the careers ahead of them.

  6. 6

    Capstone showcase

Present the session 4 project to the group and parents — explaining what AI did and what they did themselves.
